RDC WARNS POLITICANS OVER POLITICISING LAND ISSUES.

The Mubende Resident District Commissioner has cautioned the politicians in Mubende district against politicising land issues that is putting the lives of the people in danger. RDC Beyunga Florence expressed this during a meeting with the residents whose houses were set ablaze held at Bukoba village in Nalutuntu Sub County in Mubende district Beyunga explained that;” politicians in this area are using opportunity of land wrangles in this area by manipulating them with ideas that put their lives at stake. Politicians should always be vigilant about what is happening in their communities but also conscious about the word and actions they take.” “Sometimes the words used by politicians incite violence, while others end up suffering for example why would a politician offer people with bow and arrows? Once people begin killing each other you will be held responsible. Let government play its role in protecting her citizens.” Beyunga added Beyunga explained that;”please calm down because all your issues are
being worked upon and all the people who were involved in this crime will be apprehended and charged accordingly.” Kagaba Erick the district councillor for Nalutuntu sub county Mubende district explained that;” on several occasions we have reported to police they have refused to help us. The various cattle owners in this area a proving to be untouchables which make us believe that the security agencies really support their activates thus having a hand in our suffering. ” “Permit us to buy bow and arrows so that we shoot who ever we find
suspicious in our community.”Kagaba lamented Byakatonda Aarouzious the chair person Bukoba village explained that;” it really beats my understanding why the security agencies are quick to react when someone steals a goat or a cow but very reluctant when it comes protecting people’s lives. Are some people above the law? We have all have provided all the possible evidence to pin down the people that burnt our houses but no action has been taken.” “We are now in misery where we lack food, clothing, and shelter and are our children are likely to suffer from diseases government should really intervene to save us.” Byakatonda added.
