Learning and Capacity Development
The role of investigative journalism to human rights is to play a crucial role in bringing allegations of abuses and violations to light and fighting against impunity. Investigative journalism is among the most important sources of public awareness-raising on human rights abuses/violations. Sustaining an independent platform like witnessradio.org that gives accurate information is an uphill task for the organisation and its team because we must remain relevant and essential source of detection in human rights violation/abuse cases, either for law enforcement authorities that investigate allegations, academia or NGOs that decide to conduct academic or advocacy research work for change.
For an organisation to achieve such milestones, witnessradio.org believes that there must be regular and focused internal capacity development, self evaluation and learning to do deliver on a better public interest job.
The program undertakes short courses depending on the capacity need for its team, tracks, monitors and commissions internal and external evaluation exercises to understand witnessradio.org ‘s impact, results and experience.
