January 18th/2018 is here. Its a day we at (witnessradio.org) treasure most, highly celebrate and join the rest of the world to commemorate the International Internet Freedom day.

To us, its about show-casing the pivotal role the Internet has played in our work and lives of the indigenous communities. The Internet is a few years old to Ugandans, but it is already the key catalyst of the most extensive and fastest technological revolution in our history.

It is the most extensive because over the past one decade its effects have touched practically every citizen especially in urban centers of Uganda. And it is the fastest because its large-scale adoption is quicker than that of any earlier technology at 17% annually.

It is impossible to witnessradio.org today to imagine the world without the Internet: it enables us to do things that only a few years ago would have been unthinkable, and reaches every facet of our lives.
