Uganda’s Energy and Minerals Week is an annual sector event hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. It comprises of various deep dive conferences and workshops including the Energy Efficiency and E-mobility Conference from 28-29 October, the Renewable Energy Conference (REC 24) from 31 October – 2 November, and the Power Forum on 30 October 2024.
This year’s Power Forum, dedicated to “The Evolving Ugandan Energy Sector”, is presented by the Ministry in partnership with the European programme GET.transform. Fostering meaningful dialogue on key issues and opportunities, the Power Forum has become a catalyst for collaboration and knowledge sharing among decision-makers, government officials, utilities, regulators, development finance institutions, commercial banks, project developers and technology providers. The Forum highlights the significance of multi-stakeholder engagement in driving positive change, attracting investments, and fostering innovation in Uganda’s power sector.
