The Land Evictions Portal
Land-evictions-in-Uganda is a research based project that monitors, maps, collects, investigates and analyses previous and current land evictions in Uganda.
The portal is a project of independent researchers and investigative human rights journalists spread across the country who combine academic rigor with journalistic approaches to collect data that answer questions about evictions and their impact on citizens’ livelihood and survival, investments and human rights. We currently have about twelve (12) countryside media groups and 30 independent individuals committed to deliver on this project.
The land eviction portal believes that access to information is crucial to achieve good land governance and to secure land rights for vulnerable and minority communities in Uganda.
